    I use these words as part of my normal vocabulary:

    bookend
    déclassé
    optics
    paean
    patrimony
    sui generis

    All others are used only by pretentious snobs!

    @twv:

    “I use these words as part of my normal vocabulary:

    bookend”

    As a verb?

    “déclassé
    optics
    paean”

    OMFG 🙂

    So I can’t tell you how many episodes I’ve listened to thinking, I should really make a website picking these out. You should really link to their definitions – treacly? My god.
