U.K. Fee-Rise Vote Passes Amid Student Protests

Re: U.K. Fee-Rise Vote Passes Amid Student Protests. Protesting what? Having to pay a higher percentage of their subsidized “education”? Screw that. Tuition should be raised until the local college bars start shutting down. Then we know students are really hurting.

    Amen Stephen.

As a former College Student who had a tuition cost of 30K a year(because I went private) and friends in public schools where it costs 20-25k, it bugs me how these Europeans just love all their freebies and declare that they pay little or nothing for tuition, yet complain about the taxes.According to the WSJ, the tuition hike raises it to 14K.14K? Every current and past college student I know would KILL for 14k a year.

The article further reiterate that only those who arrive in 2011 will be affected.

So they can’t go down to the pub for a pint every weekend or buy Assassin’s Creed 2.
Lazy college students like the rest of the parasites of the state are learning a hard economic lesson.

Party’s Over.Last one to leave gets stuck with the check.
